We’ll break down the key beats—inciting incident, break into two, midpoint, crisis, climax, and more—that give your script momentum and shape. Whether you’re writing an action movie, a family drama, a horror film, or a one-hour ensemble TV show, you’ll see how structure raises dramatic questions and keeps audiences hooked through to a satisfying conclusion. With plenty of film and TV examples, we’ll show how to cement these “rules” in your writer’s toolbox—so you can get creative and bend them in the best ways. This is a two-hour workshop on 3-act structure (and how it flexes for features, 5-act TV, and everything in between), with time built in for your questions.
